Welcome to the East Sutherland Camera Club
Our club belongs to its members and reflects their needs and interests. We are committed not only to share our enthusiasm for photography but also to share experience and knowledge in a friendly, helpful and informative way. In addition we are involved in community events through our photography.
These are held in the Community Centre in Brora Primary School on the second and fourth Tuesdays during the season, starting at 7pm. Each month there are normally two kinds of meetings. One involves a photographic competition and there is usually a presentation by a guest speaker or a member. At the other meeting the emphasis is on topics to help you improve your photography. We always make time so that you can get help with your own issues and problems. There is also time for tea and coffee and a chat too! Field trips are arranged from time to time.
If you wish, you can enter your photographs in the monthly competitions - see results page. There is a set subject for each competition as well as an annual open competition - any subject. Prints are normally no bigger than A4, colour or black and white. We all vote for the best photographs - but not for your own! Over the year points are awarded and trophies presented at the Annual Dinner.
Each year the club takes part in the Highland Challenge - a competition between all the clubs in the north Highlands.
